Hidden Valley Ranch Dip Potatoes

I had some Hidden Valley Ranch Dip leftover but I was out of potato chips. (Hidden Valley Ranch dip is 1 container of sour cream and one package of Hidden Valley Ranch Salad Dressing Mix). I was thinking about what to do for dinner and then I had a great idea. If dip is good on potato chips why wouldn't it be good on potatoes.

It was amazing. You have to make this.

INGREDIENTS:
1 clove  garlic
2 pounds potato -- very thinly sliced
1 cup  mozzarella -- grated
1 cup Hidden Valley Ranch Dip (or your favorite potato chip dip)
salt

DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350

Butter a shallow - 6 cup (1.5 L) gratin dish and rub it with garlic. Layer half the potatoes in the dish. Sprinkle with salt, half the dip and mozzarella cheese. Add another layer, using the rest of the ingredients.

Bake uncovered until the gratin is crisp and golden on top, from 50-60 minutes.

Serve immediately
